Music, merriment and family fun, all in the name of charity and set in
the unique surroundings of Spetisbury Rings.
There's no festival like it!

It’s about people coming together to create something great, whether donating their talent on stage,
their time backstage or their support by buying tickets and attending.
Uniquely, everyone who performs at, or works on the festival does so for free, allowing us to produce this incredible event on a very tight budget, and donate every penny of profit to support local charities.

Any age and any musical genre, whether experienced performers or not.

Everyone is welcome to share in a day of musical entertainment.

How it all began

Tim Wood grew up at the foot of the festival site, Spetisbury Rings, and as a child always thought
it would be a great place to have a festival. It wasn’t his mum Teresa sadly died from cancer in 2006,
and was so incredibly well cared for by The Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, that he had a reason
great enough to finally attempt it.

So, entirely self funded and fuelled only by an incredible amount of passion Tim, his sister Jenny
and four of their friends set about organising their first festival!

Music and Merriment ran for the first time in 2009 and was a remarkable success.
40 performers entertained a crowd of over 350 people for 11 hours of amazing entertainment.
And despite this being the first event, with incredible support, we were able to donate £2500 to charity.

Due to the amazing feedback the team received, this 'one off' festival has now been held three times,
and keeps getting better and better!

Make sure YOU are part of this incredible festival when it returns in August 2014!
